Never Befriend a Wounded Cat!

Poor Kaitlyn had a rough afternoon today. She was walking home from school and noticed a cat in the bushes and said that it looked like it was injured. She went over to pick it up and see if it was ok, when the cat turned wild on her and climbed up her arm and onto her head, scratching 2 big gashes into her scalp. She came home crying and very shook up and when Mark saw it he knew pretty much immediately that it looked like it needed stitches. I took her to the bathroom and tried to clean things up as best we could and then Mark took her down to Quick Care where they said she needed 6 staples in her head. Ouch! Poor thing. It wasn't a very fun experience for her but she was very brave Mark said. Tonight she told me she doesn't like cats anymore and I can't say I blame her! She was trying to be nice and she ended up scratched up and hurt because of it. We hope you feel better soon Katie. :( Sounds like she'll have to have the staples in for at least a week and on antibiotics too. You never know what kind of infectious diseases that ferral cat may have had! I'm glad Mark was home when this all happened.

Poor Kaitlyn! Animals can really leave scars can't they? I hope she's feeling better today.

Ouch! That's terrible! One more reason I'm glad I don't have any pets.
I hope Kaitlyn heals up quickly.

I feel so bad for Kaitlyn! She is such the sweetest little girl, I feel so bad that her kindness became such a misery.
P.S. I just love your fire pit! Great idea!

I hope she's healing well. I am glad Bree didn't drive Emily nuts. She did a great job and I didn't worry about her at all (we have only left her a few times).
